This program is conducted online, with approximately 85% asynchronous online work and 15% synchronous online meetings. The program prepares the participant to provide professional NFP services and to qualify for certification through the Marquette Method Professional Association. The Teacher Training program is comprised of two courses - Foundations & Principles and Practical Applications. Students begin with the Foundations & Principles course, starting in either September or January. During the Practical Applications course, students are required to recruit and teach ten couples. Completion time for the full program is approximately thirteen months (not including summer or winter breaks).Learning objectives: Foundations and Principles, Practical Applications 1. The provider will gain the skills to dialogue with the woman/couple about the physiological, philosophical, and conceptual underpinnings of NFP and the Marquette Model (MM). 2. The provider will be able to implement and assess the delivery of NFP and MM services. 3. The provider will be able to identify the unique diagnostic patterns of the menstrual cycle that reveal common health problems.Target Audience: The educational program is designed for health professionals e.g., professional nurse at least B.S.N. prepared, advanced practice nurses, physicians, physician assistants, PharmD, DPT, and RD, and other healthcare professionals that have been approved by the Institute.
